Role Details
This is a varied and vital role, where you will manage your allocated customer base and the relevant parties in the sales team to ensure that prompt payment is made, and appropriate actions are taken to follow up non-payment.
Some responsibilities of the role include:

Chase debtors promptly to ensure all overdue is received within a timely manner and all relevant debts are managed effectively.

Monitor and identify changes in payment patterns to minimise risk.
*
Provide all relevant documentation to ensure payment can be made in line with terms, post and allocate cash as per customer instructions and where necessary produce and send the relevant overdue letters to coincide and adhere to the credit insurance policies terms and conditions.

Examine shortfalls with payments, work with customers to understand and rectify these and take necessary steps to prevent future shortfalls.
*
Review, investigate and resolve queries by liaising with internal and external customers.
*
Support the onboarding of new customers to include checks with credit reference agencies and governing bodies.
*
Propose solutions to reduce debt and take effective action, to include the negotiation of payment plans and proposing unrecoverable balances to be written off periodically.

Produce high level of customer service and overall customer satisfaction is always achieved.

Mange and report on your customer portfolio of accounts to include cash flow analysis.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a passionate and motivated individual that prides themselves on delivering excellent service to theirinternal and external customers, and ideally has experience delivering credit control and managing payments for their own ledger.
It is essential that you have the following:

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
*
Excellent relationship building, interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
*
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
*
Proactive approach to work supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*
Good IT Skills and experience using systems and Microsoft office, including excel.
*
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and manage expectations.
*
Positive, polite and professional telephone manner.
*
Awareness of the pre-action protocols for debt claims to enable the business to issue court proceedings.
*
A proven track record of success within accounts receivable is desirable.
