Job Description
Mid-Senior Corporate Accountant

Are you qualified/ newly qualified or qualified by experience? Are you dynamic, easy going and ready for a challenge? We are looking for an Accountant to join our team of a fast-growing boutique accountancy practice based in the city of London, specialising in the film, media and entertainment industry.

The role will involve:

Review bookkeeping entries in various accounts softwares
Review TB and the reconciliations of all control accounts
Preparation of profit & loss reports and trial balance for both year-end and management accounts
Presentation of periodic management accounts to stakeholders and directors
Preparing statutory accounts and tax computations
Preparing / reviewing VAT Returns
Assisting/ training junior staff / bookkeepers
Managing one direct report – payroll officer 

Desired person specification:

At least 3 years UK experience within an accountancy practice (preparing SME accounts, minimum semi-senior level)
Used to reviewing, correcting and giving feedback to those you manage
Strong bookkeeping skills
Knowledge of Quickbooks online, Xero, Taxcalc and Microsoft package
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with clients
Experience of supervising a small payroll team
Must have right to reside and work in the UK
Interest in film, TV, entertainment
