Job Description
Our client is one of the largest non-life insurance companies in Asia and Africa. Their expanding city of London office is now seeking a Compliance Officer on a permanent basis.
Job role duties:
* Performing routine risk assessments to help organization understand compliance risk, scope, and significance.
* Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations.
* Monitoring the organization’s compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with relevant laws.
* Educating employees on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance on the organization.
* Recording their findings properly and following up with management to ensure the issues are rectified.
* Reviewing marketing materials, websites, and presentations to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Assisting in gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulators.
* Highlight or escalate areas of concern.
* Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisation.
* Performing administrative tasks such as file creation and maintaining files of ongoing projects.
* Collaborating with management from other departments to ensure compliance and investigating irregularities.
* Filing of data with FCA/PRA from time to time as and when required.
Must have:
* Minimum of 2 years working experience in the UK on Compliance side
* Working knowledge of UK regulations (Non-Life Insurance) especially in direct motor and retail property insurance.
Preferable:
* Knowledge on MGA tie-ups.
Package:
* Depending on experience, circa £35,000 to £45,000 per annum

* Full time, 5 days a week
* Working Hours : 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
* London based. Hybrid working may allowed as per company rules from time to time after probation
