Job Description
The role
We’re now looking for a motivated Commercial Insurance Consultant based from our Cheadle office to join the Jensten Group. Jensten Insurance Brokers is an insurance intermediary wholly owned by the Jensten Group. We have specialisms in Hospitality, Entertainment, and Licensed Trades and arrange insurance either directly with policyholders or via other insurance brokers who come to us because of our range of products and excellent service levels.
This is a sales based role dealing with General Commercial Insurance ( i.e. Liabilities & Properties) and requires the delivery of excellent customer service within the commercial and regulatory systems set by the company. Some key responsibilities will include:
* Handling new business enquiries by taking information from customers and obtaining quotations from insurers
* Putting forward new business tenders to customers and chasing for instructions.
* Develop and sustain relationships with customers
* Demonstrate confident and efficient telephone skills
* Effectively analyse client needs and develop solutions.
* Making outgoing telephone calls to existing and prospective customers
* Ensure adherence to the company compliance, systems and procedures at all times
* Respond promptly to client queries and ensure that all communications with customers and/or insurers or other business contacts are accurately recorded (in writing)
About you
As one of our Commercial insurance Consultants, you’ll have excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail. The role would suit an individual with insurance sales experience with a focus on Commercial insurance. You will also be or have:
* Insurance industry background (ideally with Commercial)
* Great customer service and communication skills
* Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily
* Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance and sales
* Worked in a similar role previously (telephone and face-2-face sales experience)
* Good attention to detail and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin
