Job Description
Commercial Finance Manager, West London (Hybrid working)
£70- £75kpa Plus Benefits Including Bonus

Our client, one of the leading FMCG businesses has identified the need to add a highly commercially focussed finance professional to the business. This role will be adept at business partnering senior stakeholders, bringing value adding guardrails for investment and providing strategic insight. The role requires collective leadership, an ability to deliver constructive challenge and to present financial concepts and plans with absolute clarity.

Key Duties:-
* Supporting to deliver outstanding commercial finance management, focussing on forward looking strategies to deliver a sustainable business plan, understanding and managing innovation pipelines, hurdles and project delivery
* Define and embed financial support ways of working to the Commercialisation Team in order to achieve clarity over Innovation and Business projects, defining hurdles and delivery expectations
* Maintain financial and commercial leadership over ad-hoc strategic projects as required, to include capacity reviews, commercial practicality and capital investment
* Engage brand, innovation and finance teams to deliver robust, insightful and clear innovation modelling and proposals, ensuring outputs are appropriate for Exec review and onward presentation
* Review and recommend business/investment cases of innovation and brand opportunities across capital and innovation to actively influence strategy and the allocation of the unusual resources
* Leverage commercial understanding of brand/customer/channel profitability and external competitor influences to agree and implement course correction, risk mitigation and exploit opportunities around projects and innovation
* Provide strategic challenge and valuable insight based on internal & external data and commercial experience, working collectively with business partners to deliver the plan
* Influence the innovation team to achieve a commercially efficient proposition and deliver margin accretive innovation opportunities aligned to hurdle rates

The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have a passion for improvement in execution with strong commercial competence, able to understand and communicate strategic and financial concepts. You will have proven delivery in commercial finance roles, with strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills. Naturally this key hire will have excellent business partnering ability, able to create and develop long lasting relationships to deliver optimal value across the organisation
