Job Description
Claims Negotiator Location: Dorking (Hybrid)

Salary: £24000 – £29000pa (depending on experience) Full time (permanent)

Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for your own portfolio of Claims which will include Claims involving:

* Accidental Damage, Third Party Property Damage, Credit hire, Personal injury, Fire and Theft

You will take ownership of end to end handling of straight forward work within agreed service, quality and cost control standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure allocated claims are investigates, negotiated and settled in accordance to company strategies at the appropriate level of delegated authority to ensure brokers/customers see a fair settlement of their claims.

* Act as key contact for targeted brokers/customers resolving straight forward broker/customer enquires

* Identify all opportunities to make recoveries in respect of allocated claims and ensure that these are exploited quickly and successfully.

* Maintain accurate estimates on outstanding allocated claims so that the company’s liabilities can be accurately assessed at all times

* Handle straightforward technical problems within the team

* Work flexibly within the team

* Assisting colleagues wherever possible ensuring overall team performance is enhanced

* Liaising closely with Technical Subject Matter Experts for claims advice

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

* Experience working in an office enviroment

* Experience providing excellent customer service

* Appropriate level of Motor Claims knowledge

* 5 GCSE passes or equivalent (grades 4-9 / A-C), including English Literature, English Language and Mathematics
