Job Description
Broker Support – Casualty
*
You will be responsible for coordinating placement support activities and delivering proactive, valued support within practice. Broker Support prompts and monitors key activities and tasks throughout the reinsurance placement in order to promote efficient and timely compliance with our best practice processes.
*
The nature of the role does require experience in Casualty business gained either from the insurance sectors.
*
You will be actively engaged with both internal and external stakeholders, to deliver excellent and efficient service to our clients.
We will rely on you to:
*
Assist with reviews of client renewal information.
*
Initiate the contract drafting process, updates and production of Final Contract Documentation.
*
Drive full-cycle use of the e-trading platform, from market submission and quoting through to confirming reinsurer participations.
*
Assist brokers and prepare submissions, where required.
*
Track placement status of assigned accounts and update information as necessary.
*
Liaise with reinsurers to obtain following lines on a placement and in response to queries or requests, in conjunction with brokers.
*
Wholesale broking into the London Market.
*
Maintain core placement files to ensure we evidence all best practice procedures and compliance requirements.
*
Respond to client requests for information (reinsurer, financial reports, industry issues, etc.)
*
On boarding of new clients and markets.
*
Key responsibility for compliance policies – sanctions referrals, third parties, AML & ABC.
*
Use of front-end broking systems.
*
Monitor and report on business metrics.
*
Build a strong relationship with our service team and an understanding of accounting, claims and proportional treaty administration.
*
Actively participate in team, client and reinsurer meetings.
What you need to have:
*
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
*
A keen attention to detail and accuracy
*
A high level of communication skills, essential for establishing good working relationships
*
Familiarity with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
