Job Description
Gleeson Recruitment Group are excited to announce we are exclusively partnered with a globally recognised brand to support in their search for a Tax Accountant to join their Warwick based team. This opportunity is based in the head office on a hybrid basis, for a salary of between £28,000 – £38,000 depending on experience plus a comprehensive study package for your CTA or ACCA. The business are open to hearing from candidates who are just starting out their accounting career, or those who have some years of accounting exposure looking to work within a dedicated Tax department.

The successful individual will have a keen interest in VAT and Corporate Tax, with a drive to progress their career within a prestigious business. You will be given the ability to qualify in your CTA or ACCA and gain exposure across the full finance team to manage the companies tax returns in accordance with current regulations. This role would be suited to a progressive individual who is outgoing and confident, with the ability to liaise with multiple departments and represent the Tax Team for this brand.

Key responsibilities:

Preparation of UK ad Irish VAT returns for the Group
Assist with preparation of Corporate tax returns by analysing specific expenses to enable correct calculation of liability
Maintain and deal with GPA (Group Payment arrangement)
Assist with month end tax reporting and annual statutory accounts
Prepare monthly transfer pricing calculations
Assist with preparation of PAYE Settlement agreement returns by analysing expenditure of entertainment and gifts
Investigate and validate VAT on invoices
Calculation and posting of payroll journalsA bit about you:

Studying an accounting qualification (ACCA, CTA) or AAT qualified looking to study
Agile mindset with the ability to independently solve problems
Willingness to learn and keep up to date with changing tax regulations
Experience in working to tight deadlines
Able to confidently liaise with various departments to explain taxIn return:
