Job Description
Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a highly professional and expanding local organisation in the Oldbury area who are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant for their Finance department to start immediately.

Duties and tasks will include:

» Assist the Financial Controllers with month end closing procedures and weekly and monthly standard reporting
» Be responsible for the posting of accruals, prepayments and journals
» Assist with the P&L, balance sheet reporting and actual vs. forecast variance analysis
» Ad hoc reporting responsibilities
» Provide assistance to other staff within the finance team.

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

» The ideal candidate would have approximately 2 years' experience working within a similar role
» Be training towards membership or be a member of a recognised accounting body
» Have knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
» Be highly numerate with strong analytical skills
» Have excellent attention to detail
» Have the ability to develop good working relationships with others
» Have good organisational skills and be able to effectively prioritise workload
» Knowledge of manipulating and presenting financial information using advanced Excel skills
» Must be eligible and able to prove you can work in the UK.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4oppm and a 12.30pm finish on Fridays. Parking is available.
