Job Description
Accountant (Qualified or Part Qualified)

Central Norwich

Competitive Salary up to £50k (DOE) plus Hybrid Working, Private Medical

A new opportunity has been made available with an expanding and forward thinking Accountancy Practice for an Accountant. This is an opportunity for either a qualified or part qualified Accountant and the responsibilities will include;

Management of a portfolio of clients nurturing long term relationships
Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and cashflow forecasts
Prepare tax computations and tax returns
Prepare and review VAT returns
Assisting clients and staff with cloud software packages
Business partnering with business owners, assisting with recommendations they can be held accountable to.
Liaising and meeting with clients, responding to and resolving queries in a timely manner.
Reviewing work produced by more junior members of the team.
Provide training, support and feedback to more junior members of the team.
Data review, analysis and reporting
Review, document and develop processes, procedures and controls to increase efficiencies both internally and for clients while remaining compliant with legislation
Work on the digitalisation of clients and development of internal processes in readiness for the implementation of Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessment in April 2024 and Corporation Tax at a later date.
Identify cross-selling, up-selling & referral opportunities to ensure clients receive relevant, timely advice to help achieve their goals, while ensuring growth for the practice.
