Job Description

Responsibilities

The Role:

Act as a key part of the finance team, to support the needs of the business with regards processing financial information, reporting internally and externally, and providing business support to the operational side of the business.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist the management accounting process with regards month end.

* Assist with all fleet related services

* processing of vehicle scheme applications

* Completion of the quarterly VAT return for review and assistance with related benefit calculations

* Completion of key account reconciliations

* Assist with the fixed asset process, including maintenance of the fixed asset register,

* Act as cover for the Storage and Recovery team ensuring solid understanding of the related processes

* Act as a key part of the finance approval team in raising purchase orders, approving payments, credit card requests

* Act as a key contact around the business for the operations teams

* Assist the finance team in completing the annual audit by providing information and explanations to the Auditors

* Provide knowledge and understanding to coach and support others within the team

* Engage with operations team to ensure collaborative working throughout the company. Convey company messages and ideas clearly and openly, involving people in decisions, and providing constructive feedback

* Support the team during staff shortages/annual leave pinch points

Qualifications

Desirable qualifications and experience:

* Finance qualifications (AAT)

* Finance qualifications (ACCA, CIMA) – part qualified

* Good PC skills at intermediate level with experience working in Word/Excel/Outlook

* Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus

* Excellent verbal, written and communication skills

* Self-motivated and systematic

* Results/task orientated, attention to detail and accuracy,

* Excellent time management and organizational skills

* ommitment to continuous improvement

* Ability to work as part of a team
