Assistant Accountant | £25,000 – £30,000 + Study Support | Malton North Yorkshire | Large PLC | Excellent culture and benefits

Axon Moore have partnered with a high growth PLC to support their search for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their team.

The successful candidate – as well as being AAT/CIMA/ACCA part-qualified – must possess exceptional organisational and communication skills besides being able to demonstrate a strong desire to succeed and a positive work-ethic.

Reporting in to the Financial Controller. Your key responsibilities and duties will involve:

Month end duties – accruals and prepayments, reconciliations, intercompany recharges and updating the fixed asset register
Balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting
Bank reconciliations
Sales Ledger
Stock reporting
Analysis and cost centre reporting
Respond to queries from senior managers within the business
Cashbook reporting

Key skills for the role:

Be studying towards your CIMA, ACCA, ACA or AAT Qualification.
Experience within a similar role.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Self-motivated and a strong ability to work collaboratively with different teams across the business.
A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
An ability to think methodically and logically with a strong desire to continue learning and developing.
Able to work efficiently towards meeting targets and deadlines.
