Assistant Accountant Job in Ealing, Greater London
Job Description
We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant for a full-time, permanent role based in Ealing. This role is 35 hours a week, 9am to 5pm, with a hybrid home/office working schedule.
Job Purpose
The role will support the Finance Manager in all aspects of financial and management accounting and administration and ensure that company’s financial policies and procedures are effectively implemented and compliant.
Duties will include supporting with all finance and accounting functions, including, but not limited to:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts including prepayments, accruels etc.
* Budgeting to include forecasting, compiling reports and forecasting.
* Cash flow management.
* Profitability analysis.
* Management reporting.
* Financial, variance and accounts analysis.
* Preparing reports and proposals.
* Supporting and managing audits on an annual and semi-annual basis.
Candidate Specification
* Studying towards a qualification in accountancy such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA (part-qualified).
* Minimum two years' experience working within a finance function.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (including macros and pivot tables).
* Excellent organisational and analaytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience of accounting software (MS Dynamics would be helpful, but not essential).
* Possesses a flexible working approach.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines, particularly at month/year end, balancing conflicting demands
