Accounts Payable/Receivable Assistant Job in Cambridge

Job Description
In partnership with a global organisation, we are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant (AP and AR) to support the finance function on a 3-month FTC starting ASAP. 

Reporting to the Global AR & AP manager, this is an important finance role responsible for leading and developing a growing UK-based transactional finance team of 9. The role will closely interact with Commercial and Procurement teams and be critical to the efficient running of the business and effective working capital management. This is a full-time, hybrid role (40 hours per week) – The majority of the existing team of 9 work from home full-time. 

What we are looking for: 

• Experience of managing people and teams;
• Demonstratable experience in both supplier and accounts receivable;
• Delivery of process improvement and change;
• Knowledge of trading, VAT and duty requirements and compliance;
• Modern credit control collection techniques and credit risk assessment;

It is not essential, but would be desirable for applicants to be: 

• Experienced in Microsoft office products, particularly excel;
• Experience of using Sage X3 or similar system.
