Job Description
To be resoponsible for the day to day running of the Accounts Payable Function.

My client is a Global Professional Services Business.

Description

Ensure that suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms & conditions
Processing supplier invoices, ensuring matching of invoices with Purchase Orders
Payment runs & send out remittances to vendors
Processing and paying staff expenses
Resolving queries both internally and externally in a professional, efficient, and organised manner
Maintain supplier account details, payment terms
Work closely with all relevant stakeholders including internal Finance colleagues, Chief Accountant, and Cost Centre Managers throughout the business
Reconciliations of daily banking, balance sheet accounts, and various data
Update cash books
Match Goods Received with Invoices received and review the list of unreconciled items
Perform a forecast of future payments based on data and personal insights
Managing Direct Debit payments
Performing month-end closing activities including financial reporting
Preparation of information for journal entries
Support internal and external audit activity
Support Group-driven special finance projectsProfile

Essential: – previous experience in a similar role i.e. Purchase Ledger, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable
You are highly numerate, with excellent Excel skills
You have first class written and oral communication skills
You possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels
You have a strong commitment to providing first rate financial support to the business
You have strong organisational skills, balancing demands and working to tight deadlines with an ability to work on your own initiative
You are ethical, discrete, and confidential
A strong team player with a positive attitude
Knowledge of SAP is desirable
