Job Description
My client, a successful automotive business based in Solihull is recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to manage the companies national accounts.
This role will be reporting into the Financial Operations Manager, assisting with controlling the national sales ledger accounts. Applicants must have similar sales ledger experience within a commercial capacity. If you fit the skills criteria below then please get in touch ASAP!
Responsibilities:
* Dealing with key customers to resolve customer return queries.
* Requesting Proof of Delivery/Return documentation, as required by key customers, involving liaison with branches and delivering documentation to customers.
* Dealing with key customers and branches in resolving account queries and recovering overdue payments.
* Escalate queries to Regional Managers/Divisional Directors as and when required.
* Liaise with National Accounts Coordinator and provide holiday cover when required.
* Allocate payments to sales ledger and investigate any discrepancies
* Complete month end process, PAGL account reconciliations and reporting to Group Credit Manager on reasons for non-payment.
* Produce, reconcile and issue monthly statements to key customers.
* Maintain various customer databases.
* Undertake general administration and filing duties as required.
* Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
Skills Required:
Must have recent accounts experience working in a similar role
Experienced spreadsheet user, with pivot tables, V Lookup formulas & data manipulation
Able to work in a fast paced environment, with a positive attitude
Demonstrate skills in managing sales ledger, including chasing overdue debts, using recovery techniques
Able to work to strict deadlines
Possess strong communication skills
Salary £25k, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
Hybrid role – 3 days in office, 2 at home
Monday – Friday
