Job Description
NXTGEN are working on an exciting new Accounts Assistant role with one our top Accountancy practice clients based in Norwich. Our client is looking to expand their Accounts team having taken on several new clients and continuously winning new business, which is set to continue in the future. The successful Accounts Assistant will work closely with Senior Managers and will be an influential part in supporting the production of client accounts as well as Bookkeeping tasks including Management Accounts prep, managing Purchase/Sales ledger tasks, payroll, transactional tasks and client queries. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has experience in a Accounts Assistant/ Bookkeeping type role and wants varied responsibilities with the opportunity to progress and develop in the future.

Key responsibilities will include:
– Support with producing client accounts and completing bookkeeping tasks
– Prepare monthly management accounts efficiently
– Managing all transactional duties
– Process all payroll for clients on your portfolio
– Provide client support and answer any queries efficiently

The successful candidate will either be studying towards or hold their AAT qualification (or equivalent), QBE candidates with experience in a similar Accounts Assistant/ Bookkeeping role will also be considered. This role would ideally suit someone coming from a practice, outsourcing type background or have experience dealing with multiple client accounts. Candidates will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident when dealing with clients on a daily basis. For the successful candidate, there will be opportunity for further study support as well as progression and development
