This company is looking for an Accounts Assistant for their award winning, family owned accountancy firm that are really taking the market by storm. This is the sort of workplace where you’ll regularly interact with the owners and senior management, they have a really collaborative approach to their work and the current team love working there for that exact reason.

They’re looking to offer a salary of £22,000 – £27,000 and you’ll work Monday to Friday. They’re looking to hire people that want a career and want to progress within the company, if you’re just looking to stay in the same position for the next few years this organisation probably isn’t for you.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day you will be assigned particular accounts and you will ensure they are handled effectively and efficiently adhering to the current agreed procedures and processes
You’ll be assisting with financial and management accounts preparation for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies. You’ll be given plenty of exposure to sharpen your accountancy tools and develop your skills
A large part of your role will be carrying out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations
This organisation has a great reputation for customer service, to be a good fit for this role you’ll be expected deal with client phone calls and correspondence in a polite and supportive way
Skills & Experience

If you have experience in a similar role and have 1-2 years of accounting experience, this role could be for you
It goes without saying, but you’ll need to have experience of dealing with accounts. No two businesses are the same so we’re open to all types of skillsets
