Thrive Oldham are recruiting on behalf of our well established client in the Merthyr area for an Accounts Assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join a busy accounts team. This is a Temporary to Permanent position for the right person. The role is Part Time
Duties:
Assist in all aspects of the Purchase ledger and Sales ledger
Recording of invoices
Matching of purchase invoices to purchase orders
Resolving discrepancies between the invoice and order
Reconciling Supplier Statements to Ledger
Customer Statement processing and due balance follow up call/email reminder
Assist in weekly payroll
Assist with day-to-day office duties
To undertake any other reasonable duty, when requested to do so by an appropriate manager.
Skills Required:
Previous experience in a similar position
Working towards or has AAT qualifications ideal but not essential
Can work on own initiative
Must be flexible in approach to the work as priorities change
Ability to work well as part of a team
Confident and personable
A fast learner with excellent attention to detail
An understanding of confidentiality
An appreciation of the importance of deadlines
Good timekeeping, reliability and adaptability
Basic knowledge of VAT Part time hours will be considered for the right candidate. Training will be given for the duties requested and, on the systems, used.
Salary £20500 per year
24 hours a week Monday – Thursday 9am -3pm
