Job Description
Accounts Assistant – Lincoln – £25k

As Accounts Assistant you will be part of a small finance team and be reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The main responsibilities of this role lie within the cash-in/cash-out processes, but the role also includes involvement in month end closing activities and being part of driving improvements in the financial processes.

The Role of Accounts Assistant

* Processing of purchase invoices from suppliers and ensuring readiness for payment

* Review and process Company credit card statements

* Issue and process customer invoices

* Collaborate with Sales and Professional Services departments regarding customer invoices

* Perform month end closing activities connected to cash-in/cash-out processes

* Perform month end closing activities relating to prepayments and deferred revenue

* Process incoming and outgoing payments

* Provide and manage aged debtors and aged creditors

* Involvement in improvements in Account Payables workflow

* Involvement in improvements in Accounts Receivables workflow

* Manage building rates

* Manage waste management

* Any other duties reasonably requested

The ideal candidate for the role of Accounts Assistant

* Previous experience of similar roles

* Experience of using Sage Line 50 or similar accounting software

* Proficient working with the Microsoft 365 suite, particularly Excel
