Job Description
Elevation Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a well-established family run business in their search for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their hard-working & friendly finance function based in Chesterfield, on a full time, permanent basis.

This is an exciting position where the successful candidate will become part of a recognised company with a great culture and opportunity for growth; working with the Financial Controller to deliver a varied role across Purchase Ledger, some Sales Ledger, Cashbook and Credit Control.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or AAT Studier to gain exposure within finance and accounts.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant will include:

* Processing a high volume of purchase ledger invoices
* Matching invoices
* Statement reconciliations
* Paying suppliers
* Company credit card payments and reconciliations
* Resolving invoice queries
* Monitoring of accounts email inbox
* Sales invoice processing
* Checking sales invoices
* Chasing outstanding debt via email and telephone
* Allocating payments
* Resolving customer queries
* Processing Card Payments
* Ad-hoc nominal recs

Ideal Candidate:

* At least 1 years previous experience in a similar role
* Studier of a recognised qualification (AAT)
* Good experience in the use of computerised account systems and proficient in using Microsoft Office systems, including, Word, Excel and Email
* A strong communicator with a persuasive manner
* You will need to be flexible in your role, trustworthy, honest and have a high level of professional integrity
