Job Description
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT/STUDY FTC RECfinancial are delighted to be recruiting for this North Leicestershire based business as they continue to grow and shape for the future.
The business has seen significant and exciting changes over the past 12 months and are now looking to strengthen their Finance team with the appointment of an Accounts Assistant on a 18 month FTC.
What Is the Role of the Accounts Assistant?
Reporting into the Finance Manager the Accounts Assistant role will be to support all aspects of general accounting and finance within the Finance Team and to contribute to the achievement of financial objectives.
What Do They Want as an Accounts Assistant?
Ideally you will possess strong Accounts knowledge to include the following;

To oversee cash allocation and postings for currency accounts as part of daily cashiering routines (Euro, Dollar etc)Assist, allocate and produce remittances for commission payments.

Ensure business payments are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure all queries are dealt with in a timely fashion to allow prompt payments.
Creation of outbound payments and resolution of unallocated cash queries.
Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
Month end balance sheet reconciliations.
Support team by completing a variety of projects and duties, cashiering and Direct Debits as required.

This role is very much focused on having the right attitude and aptitude. Being an Accounts Assistant is necessary but having a strong focus in Accounting is essential. As an individual, you will have the drive, passion and hunger to grow within the role. Ideally you will posses some of the skills below;

Accounting technical knowledge
Ability to drive change and improvements
Sound knowledge of reconciliation process
Pro-active approach, inquisitive by nature with a strong eye for detail
Problem solving ability
Excellent communication skills
Experience working with Excel
