Job Description
Job Title: Accountant

Location: Midlothian

Full time – Permanent

The Role

Due to impressive growth over the last 5 years, my client are looking to hire an experienced Accountant to work alongside the Company accountant on all aspects of Finance. This is a great opportunity to develop professionally within an organisation experiences rapid changed and massive growth.

The Key Responsibilities

Prepare draft monthly management accounts
Prepare month end journals including accruals and prepayments
Assist with budgets and forecasts
Oversee Payroll process
Reconciliation, balance sheet and general ledger, banking relationships management and managing cash
Prepare monthly and quarterly returns to HMRC/ONS
Raise and post sales invoices, handle supplier payments and credit control activities
Liaise with auditors at year end
Deputise for the Financial Controller when required

A bit about you

Part-qualified, newly qualified or QBE
Management Accounts exposure
Hands-on approach
High level of IT – Intermediate MS Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot tables, formula and reports)
Ability to work effectively with individuals at various levels
Driven, proactive, and motivated
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills
