Job Description
Accountant required, based in Gloucester paying circa £45,000 DOE, 25 days holiday + stats, contributory pension scheme, Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5.00.

Our client is looking for an experienced Accountant to support their Finance Director in running all the financial aspects of a company with a £13 million turnover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that wants to experience the full exposure of running a successful business.

As Accountant for our client you will be involved in all financial areas of the business such as:

– preparation of the monthly management accounts

– preparing and processing the monthly salaries for 45 members of staff, including pension contributions

– reconciliation of VAT and PAYE

– liaising with the external auditors

– preparing the year end accounts

– preparing regular and ad hoc reports for the senior management team

– ensuring the continued financial success of the business

To be considered for this hands on Accountant role for our client you will need to have the following:

– be fully qualified with an appropriate financial qualification

– several years post qualification experience

– strong interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels and be able to work as a part of a team

– excellent working knowledge of Excel and a good working knowledge of Sage 200 are key to this role

– a desire to learn and progress further
