Job Description
Purpose of Role – overview
Responsible for the end to end customer centricity for a portfolio of customer accounts within the chemical industry. You will be accountable for the order to invoice process relating to European and Global export and import of liquid chemical goods – You will be the main point of contact for your customer portfolio and network with all internal stakeholders to service the customers or escalate as appropriate. As the Customer service specialist, you will link with commerce to provide guidance and information to create chemistry with our customers providing optimal supply chain solutions on export and import enquiries. You are the face of the client Logistics, the customer point of contact who answers all your customer´s queries, handles compliments/complaints, implements new lanes, and executes financial & operational analyses to ensure continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
* Responsible for the accurate processing of customer orders in transfusion and corresponding systems.
* Ensuring accurate execution of SHEQ policy in own work
* Responsible for the operational contacts with the customer. Building relationships, understanding the customers’ needs and requirements, translating for the business use, and providing sustainable logistics solutions to assist in the customer’s supply chain
* Maintaining high levels of communications across the internal teams to ensure customers requirements can be met and the operational teams have the necessary information to plan
* Optimizes the logistics services provided in terms of efficient and effectiveness.
* Informing customers and recharging any additional charges that result during the course of an order
* Providing customers with order updates and relevant documentation (CMR, invoices, heat certificates)
* Obtaining and coordinating the documentation necessary for import, export, and transit movements in line with Brexit clearance processes
* Continuous improvement and proactively streamline internal process to ensure complete customer satisfaction
* The Account Manager is part of the Account Manager team and participates in the team meetings
* Responsible for achieving and maintaining KPI’s set out by the Account Management Co-Ordinator
* On-time and in-full invoicing of all charges to the customer
* Records in the system the performance of orders in line with the ECTA standards (European Chemical Transportation Association).
* Monitors the gross/operational margins on customer accounts to suggest and implement improvement suggestions
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* A minimum of two years customer service experience in an office-based environment, ideally in logistics, grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English or relevant degree – Desirable
* Experience of working in a people/customer facing role
* An outstanding sense of responsibility, with a pro-active and structured approach to customer centricity
* Meticulous attention to detail and very high-quality standards, the ability to work well under pressure, and able to adapt quickly to market changes- internally and externally, with a willingness to respond rapidly and flexibly to customer demands.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to build professional relationships internally and externally
* Willingness to undertake training and development activities
* Ability to learn quickly and retain information.
* Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills
* A team player who is adaptable, solutions focused and able to work on your own initiative
* Able to communicate clearly and effectively
* Able to work at pace, meet deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
