Job Description
Our Douglas-based Client are an independent, dynamic group of businesses employing over 350 people and offering a range of services including wealth planning, investment sourcing and fiduciary services to both corporate and personal clients. They are now seeking a Trainee Management Accountant.

Role Profile

* Assist with general accounting duties in the finance department

* General office administration including scanning, filing, photocopying and dealing with post

* Maintain and prioritise own workload in accordance to the Team requirements

* Ensure that all work is completed within the required timescales and to the standards required

* Processing data through the sales and purchase ledgers from the point of receipt of the invoice to completion of the transaction

* Reconciliation of purchase and sales ledgers and reconciliations of all bank accounts

* Processing financial transactions through Sage and other accounting systems

* Process payments through various banking platforms

* Production of Management accounts, analysis and supporting commentary

* Preparation of VAT and Tax returns

* Preparation of Financial statements

* Management and control of bank accounts

Person Profile

* Training towards a professional qualification

* Must be able to work on own initiative to achieve desired results

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate withsuppliers and internal staff effectively

* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

* Computer literacy essential

* Creative approach to problem solving necessary

* Good team player

* Flexible and adaptable approach to work

* Must have a positive 'can do' attitude

* Good organisation skills essential to juggle the busy workload

* Ability to develop new ideas
