Trainee Accountant

Liverpool City Centre

£20-£23k

Robert Walters are partnering with a European owned Engineering, Manufacturing and servicing business looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to sit within a successful finance team.

This Trainee Accountant role will suit an early AAT studier/Accountancy & Finance Graduate that is looking to progress and develop within a Finance. Initially transactionally focused, this role will quickly progress into supporting with the Management Accounts team. Full training is provided + study support for AAT.

Key Responsibilities for the Trainee Accountant Role;
* Processing Invoices on two systems
* Deal with incoming mail.
* Intercompany reconciliation
* Bank reconciliation
* Closing and pulling purchase ledger reports
* Sales ledger invoicing
* Supplier statement reconciliations
* Set up new suppliers and VAT checks
* Credit card reconciliation
* Other Ad hoc tasks to support the finance department

Key Requirements;
* Accountancy and Finance degree / early stages AAT
* Confident in using Microsoft Office
* Able to work on your own initiative.
* Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with managers and colleagues so that whole team is aware of current issues.
* Confident in your own ability and able to follow processes

This is a permanent Trainee Accountant role based in Liverpool City Centre on a hybrid basis.
