Temporary Finance Assistant Job in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

Job Description
Keeping the money coming in, and your skills up to date.

We know that a temporary assignment isn't ideal but we're often told by employers that they like people who are prepared to take on a short-term role: it shows you're a grafter.

Some adverts will call that "dedicated" or "hardworking" but you'll see those qualities mentioned in lots of adverts; this is how you can demonstrate them.

It's difficult times for a lot of people right now, so on offer is a reasonable hourly rate of pay, and you'll receive holiday pay on top of this too.

The reason the job is initially temporary is due to a large back log of work and their year end is approaching. It may go on longer as this charity will be recruiting for this role on a permanent basis. So, if you like it, you will be able to apply.

You'll print supplier invoices received into the AP inbox, input them on to Sage, distribute the invoices to managers for authorisation, and prepare a mid-month and month-end payment runs. Generally, they receive around 600 invoices each month. You may also be asked to help with credit control and other finance tasks, so flexibility is key.

This isn't a particularly challenging or difficult role but you'll need to have used Sage in the past, ideally in the workplace.

If you have processed purchase invoices, used Sage, and are immediately available to start a temporary job, please click "apply" now
