The role
This would be an excellent opportunity a Tax specialist who is ambitious, open minded and looking to drive the group forwards.
As the Group continues to grow, the impact of all taxes becomes increasingly important, and a robust management of such processes is critical to the ensuring that the Group remains fully compliant in all territories and tax incentive opportunities (such as R&D tax incentives and the capital allowance super-deduction) are maximised.
The tax department is closely involved with a huge variety of commercial matters and the successful candidate will develop their experience and knowledge in a large number of practical tax areas, working with external specialist tax advisors and colleagues at a senior level. The Group is committed to developing and promoting talent based on performance and there are clear opportunities for progression in the short-to-medium term.
The person
* At least one-year post-qualification experience in UK Tax (Retail sector preferable but not essential)
* ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualification required or qualified via experience
* Approachable, co-operative and collaborative
* Keen to develop and have a ‘constant improvement’ mindset
