C.£22-25,000 per annum, dependent on experience

I have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and capable finance professional to join us. You would work as part of a small team within a very busy and friendly working environment, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This is a rare opportunity to join an established successful organisation at a fantastic point in its development. The role will suit someone looking to establish themselves as a key member within the in-house finance team, enabling them to have the opportunity to develop into the long term fabric of the company.
The role:
* End to end processing and reviewing of the weekly payroll for approx. 200 agency workers / 500 shifts
* Ensuring that staff are paid correctly and all reports, payments and payslips are produced, to include accurate processing of all starters, leavers, pension deductions, contract changes, SSP & SMP & reporting to HMRC/pension provider
* Assisting colleagues throughout the branches with any payroll-related queries
* Processing Yearend payroll, manual calculations & processing of ad-hoc payments
* Dealing with internal enquires from agency workers & external enquiries for HMRC etc.
* Any other ad-hoc tasks as required
About you:
* A minimum of 1year SAGE payroll experience in PAYE and other payroll processes, including RTI and Auto Enrolment
* A good basic level of statutory knowledge and understanding
* A good basic knowledge of AE administration
* A qualification with CIPP desirable
* Experience of SAGE Accounts/Microsoft Word/Excel & Outlook
* Knowledge of Infinity / Mid Office is desirable
* An enthusiastic self-starter with a positive attitude and a desire to work in a fast- paced working environment
* Flexible; must be able to manage a variety of tasks at the same time yet remain focused to complete projects effectively and within the weekly deadlines
* Accurate and methodical with a keen eye for detail
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal
* Trustworthiness & discretion when handling confidential information/complying with GDPR
* Previous experience of working as part of a team
* The ability to create and maintain both internal and external relationships
