Job Description
Senior Fund Accountant

Search are working with one of the leading asset managers within the UK. This company has a global reach and are looking to make additional hires to their Glasgow office within the fund accounting team.

This new Senior Fund Accountant position will be well suited to a newly qualified or almost qualified Accountant with previous experience in either the funds or investment space. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of work in line with timescales agreed with the clients. You will review, monitor and sign off the work of juniors within the team.

Responsibilities:

Review and sign-off Daily Net Asset Value (NAV) and distribution calculations
Review and approve financial statements
Review the monthly trustee and control packs
Ensure service charge, yield and expense ratio calculations are correct
Sign off ONS Returns
Regularly liaise with clients to ensure requirements are being met as agreed
Assess team processes to improve efficiency, control and to reduce risk
Oversee the work of Fund Accountants and report back to Managers

Essential requirements:

Qualified Accountant or IOC beneficial but not essential
Experience within the Financial Services Sector
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid numerical skills and accounting knowledgeDesirable:

Mix of Fund Accounting and NAV experience
pControl experience or previous exposure
