Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the beautiful Channel Islands.
If you have experience working in an SEN school, transferable skills that you could put to good use or are you a dedicated, caring, nurturing, and motivating person, these roles could be for you.
We are working with a fantastic SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) SEN school who cater for 56 children between the ages of 9 and 16. They are looking for 3-4 passionate individuals to work Monday to Friday as Teaching Assistants/Learning Support Assistants. Ideally these roles will be for a minimum of a term's contract, but may go on longer and for the right people could become permanent.
Can you help the teacher create a classroom that is conductive to learning and help keep the classroom a place that inspires learning and stimulates curiosity. If you feel you have the relevant skills, experience and passion, we would love to hear from you by applying to this advert.
You will need: –
• A valid DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain this.
• An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the barriers to learning.
• Additional CPD qualifications, such as Team-Teach, and Moving & Handling would be highly beneficial but not essential.
• Two suitable references covering the last 2 years (one which includes working with children).
• Available to start immediately
