Semi Senior Accountant

The Role

Barber McLelland is working as a recruitment partner for a highly successful firm of Chartered Accountants based in Sheffield, who are looking to invest in the appointment of a Semi Senior Accountant

The firm has developed a great reputation within the region, supporting a wide range of clients from growing SME's to large corporate entities, this allowing staff members to develop a wide range of accounting skills, within a supportive environment to continually assist with the development of experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role of Semi Senior will work with a team of highly experienced accountants and will be responsible for the following:

* Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

* Develop experience working within external auditing (no experience necessary)

* Client Bookkeeping

* Preparation of Management Accounts

* Preparation of corporate tax computations

* Preparation of VAT

* Work with cloud accounting software

The firms will provide the successful individual an excellent platform to continue their career development and training and will provide study support along with a structured in-house training and development program.

Skills and Qualities

The successful applicant must have developed a minimum of 3 years experience working within the accountancy profession and will be qualified/finalist AAT or part qualified ACA/ACCA.

The firm has an excellent working culture with very little staff turnover and sees this appointment as a key addition to their team.

* Excellent base salary up to £25,000 dependent upon experience
