Job Description
Job Title: Payroll Assistant
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 per annum
Location: Near Hitchin – Hybrid available
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.30, 1 hour lunch

COMPANY PROFILE
Our rapidly growing client are looking to hire a new member for their back-office support team due to expansion. This opportunity would suit a candidate who enjoys working within a small, friendly team and who also enjoys supporting an array of clients with various payroll tasks and queries.
 
If you have worked in payroll previously or completed an AAT and have used SAGE LINE 50 but are now looking for a more varied role this opportunity would suit you perfectly.
 
Training will be provided however SAGE experience/ knowledge is essential.

SKILLS REQUIRED
 
·AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified
·Practice experience would be an advantage
·Knowledge of processing timesheets and raising invoices using Sage line 50
·You will be able to work well under pressure
·You will be a clear communicator who enjoys providing a high level of client service
·Friendly and confident personality
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·Assist the wider team with weekly, monthly and year end PAYE processes
·Manage bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks
·Indicate any missing workers on each payroll and chase the client for hours
·Handle auto-enrolment pension for new and existing workers
·Manage staff expenses through payroll or reimbursement
·Keeping in regular contact with clients ensuring deadlines are met
·Use SAGE LINE 50 for payroll purposes
