Job Description
Contract Options are seeking to hire a Payroll and Finance Administrator to work in their head office, based in Reading.
We are a recruitment consultancy firm operating within the catering and traffic management sectors.
The key purpose of the role will be to establish and maintain the in-house weekly payroll function in accordance with statutory regulations. 75% of your time will be spent on payroll and the remainder on finance administration, including setting up new clients on the finance system, ensuring accurate data inputted on timesheets, and making BACS payments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Arrange the payment of salaries throught the computerised payroll system, to include holiday and statutory payments.
Administer the Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay schemes.
Submission of RTI filings.
Issued payslips/P45s/P60s.
Respond to queries from contractors in relation to their pay, taxation, holiday pay, and National Insurances, etc.
Complete various forms required and respond to communications from HMRC including downloading and applying employee tax codes.
Liaise with employees regarding pay and invoice queries.
Answer in-bound calls and deal with queries.
