Job Description
2-3 Months contract with the Slough Borough Council (Office Based)

Payments Officer

Job Summary:

The post is one of two who pay Social Care invoices, when someone is on leave a backlog develops and has caused legal action on unpaid invoices in one case.
Invoices processed 500 per month.
Current queries per month 120.
Setting up new suppliers in Agresso 20 per month.
Uploading 120 invoices in a file to Agresso can result to some errors which need to be resolved. 
Checking the spreadsheets provided by home care and day care providers what has been invoiced to the suppliers against the commissioning team spreadsheet.
Checking the payment file for the value of £500k per week.
Using a dedicated resource to for the payments team is to ensure the invoices are paid on time and resolving the quires and setting up suppliers and assisting with the backlog of quires.
