Job Description
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a chartered accountancy firm who are known as being one of the best around the Hampshire area. They pride themselves on being the leading firm of chartered accountants and business and tax advisers in the region. They can offer a full range of in depth specialist skills throughout the business and have an excellent reputation in this market. Their staff retention is of a high level and the testimonials for the business really show how specialist they are. They are now seeking an assistant management accountant/Bookkeeper to join the growing business, based within Southampton.

You will be employed as a permanent member of the team with the salary ranging between £30k-£34k p/a DOE. Your day to day duties will include: assist with completion of bookkeeping, review VAT returns that have been drafted, understanding of flat rate and partial exemption, assist with preparation of management accounts, train to become a primary contact for Sage and Xero queries and maintain good relationships with all clients.

You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a practice environment and have experience in completing management accounts. You must be fully conversant with Microsoft Office packages, be highly organised, and have excellent communication skills. They are looking for somebody who is dynamic and can bring a real energy to the role. You must be friendly, professional, reliable and happy to work closely in a team. Need to have a working knowledge of Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
