Job Description
Management Accountant – York – £40,000 – £45,000 – Hybrid working

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working exclusively with an IT support services business that has gone through a strong period of growth and looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity to develop and progress within a large management accounts team and would reporting into a supportive and very experienced Head of Finance. Our client is ideally looking for a qualified accountant CIMA/ACA/ACCA.

Key requirements:

* Ensure accuracy and completeness of recording all financial information within ledgers for areas of responsibility.
* Support the design, implementation and embedding of a suite of financial ledger controls in order to demonstrate a robust control environment.
* Deliver controlled month-end close process within responsibility to agreed timelines.
* Prepare and post ledger journals with appropriate support and where relevant review journals for accuracy.
* Prepare/review balance sheet reconciliations on a timely manner and ensure support is complete and accurate.
* Ensure inter-company positions for entities within your responsibility are reflected correctly and communicate with relevant parties to maintain an accurate Group position.
* Oversight of accruals and prepayments schedules for all entities within your responsibility.
* Work closely with External Reporting and Finance Business Partners to develop appropriate ledger-based reporting
* Document procedures within area of responsibility and support cross training of colleagues.
* Provide appropriate information to external audit in efficient timescales to ensure year-end timetables are met.
