Job Description
Management Accountant | Rugby | Manufacturing | Salary up to £36,000 + benefits

Are you currently working your way through your accountant studies and looking to step up to Management Accountant level?

If so we are delighted to be supporting a repeat client in the manufacturing sector who has an ideal opportunity for a Part Qualified Accountant to have a swift and positive impact within this newly created role.

You will report directly to the Financial Controller where one of your key tasks will be to critically review the Balance Sheet in order to identify areas of weakness and inefficiency. Working to improve data quality and improve planning and reported information for a Head Office based in Europe.

As for development, this is the ideal role to prepare you for progressing to financial controller or indeed commercial accountant in the future. 

Your responsibilities will include:
 
Trial Balance including accruals, prepayments, and manual journal postings
Cover for overhead cost accounting when required
Cost of sales accounting and analysis.
Rebates
Cost accounting and analysis including inventory, packaging, customs
Tax compliance
Maintenance of company tax records, with regular reviews

What you’ll need to succeed:
 
Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong Excel skills
Be able identify and implement improved procedures for the function
Be confident in questioning and challenging at all levels of the organisation
Have the ability to build excellent cross-functional relationships
Work autonomously
