Job Description
Management Accountant
Salary: up to £45,000 depending on experience

Location: Leeds
Our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team.
Objectives
Developing a first-class finance team that will support future business growth, you will provide sound guidance, insight and support to the Head of Finance of the business. This role is office based. Easily accessible from Leeds, York and Wakefield areas.
Skills you should possess and if not gain training to be able to have the following:
Experience within a fast paced, high volume, entrepreneurial environment closely linked with retail, wholesale or distribution (food and beverage) would be highly beneficial
An ability to supervisor junior members of the team
Comfortable with ambiguity and regular change – desire to be part of a high growth environment
Experience of working with multiple internal stakeholders
Experience of working in a multi-company environment
Ambitious and eager to develop and realise potential
Able to both support and challenge business decisions through credibility and trust
Can provide support and guidance to the team, being someone comfortable driving and delivering change with a capability to coach others through the process
SME business experience or ability to perform all areas of basic finance
Energy, enthusiasm and motivation to facilitate change and challenge existing practices
Eye for detail, accuracy, process and procedure
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
Strong IT skills in an operational environment
Responsibilities:
Produce monthly Management Accounts for multiple companies ensuring the balance sheet is fully reconciled
Produce Weekly Flash Reports for multiple companies
Ensure cash is adequately controlled and banked on a regular basis
Authorise weekly & monthly payment runs ensuring that full financial controls have been adhered to.
Identify key focus areas requiring attention across the finance function
Provide resource and relief from most acutely pressured financial areas
Ensure weekly and monthly reporting is completed to required deadlines following financial controls to ensure there is faith in the numbers
Monitor KPI's
Take the initiative in projects to ensure timely and reliable implementation
Ensure all accounting activities comply with financial regulations.
Supervise the Finance Team and the functions within it
Provide cover for the Head of Finance
Verbal/Written:
Ability to communicate information at Senior level and all levels of the organisation
