We’ll broaden your horizons

Our BDO HR Generalist team are responsible providing best practice and commercially focused HR support. Supporting our London based Audit Group, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders and HR colleagues to ensure that HR activity is delivered to a consistently high standard, driving the development and implementation of the People Plan to support the firm’s business growth plans. You will provide a seamless and first class HR service and, just as importantly, develop your own skills and expertise. You’ll also:

* Build strong, credible and dynamic relationships with key stakeholders and act as a true business partner.

* Develop and implement pragmatic and commercial solutions to possible issues and/or areas of growth and support the firm’s people plan.

* Influence change, including organisation, structural and behavioural changes, in addition to identifying obstacles and developing solutions to overcome them.

* Working with the Senior HR Manager lead the development of the People Plan activity based on business and local requirements.

* Coach partners, directors and Counselling Managers through high profile/senior employee relations issues and be an escalation point for complex employee relations issues.

* Drive effective performance management and retention of key talent across the firm

* Deliver HR projects to support the exciting change initiatives and national projects aimed to improve the employee experience.

* Partner with colleagues in Performance Development, Resourcing Global Mobility, Employee Relations, and HR Operations in order to provide exceptional client service.

* Previous experience of operating at HR Manager level, ideally within a Professional Services company.

* Proven experience of developing strong relationships with senior stakeholders to implement and influence change and decision making.

* Strong communication skills, demonstrating gravitas and credibility, with excellent technical knowledge and commercial understanding.

* Able to work strategically yet also delivery at an operational level; willing to get involved in a range of activities in order to fully meet the needs of the firm and internal client groups.

* Experience of working in a values based and client-focused organisation.

* Sound knowledge of employment law and experience of dealing with senior level employee relations issues.

* Strong coaching skills and the ability to adapt their style to different individuals/situations.

* The ability to interpret MI and make commercially based recommendations.

* Project management skills in order to land local and national change initiatives.
