The Role
* Assist the Risk manager to take responsibility for optimising profitability for the BNP Paribas Personal Finance portfolio by providing information, analysis and technical support for the development and implementation of Risk strategies, which improve portfolio performance and improve customer experience.
* BNP Paribas Personal Finance provides credit facilities for a variety of clients. This challenging role helps in the development of risk strategies, policies, and procedures. The aim is to optimise the conflicting objectives of maximising accept rates and revenue whilst controlling delinquency, fraud, and bad debt. We will also treat customers fairly by putting them at the heart of everything we do.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Analyse application data, complete weekly reports, understand trends, and present findings to the Risk Manager
* Develop, recommend, and monitor risk strategies which maximise revenue whilst minimising bad debt and detrimental customer behaviours.
* Provide input to pricing departments on applicant quality and expected risk levels
* Maintain and update the Motor MI suite which is used to update senior management within the monthly Risk Committee meeting
* Complete monitoring on expected risk forecasts, including the monitoring of cut-offs by dealers
* Maintain and monitor account performance MI for all vehicles financed by BNP Paribas Personal Finance
* Support the commercial teams in investigating specific applications where they may not have progressed through the risk engine as prescribed
* Help to upload strategy changes within the implementation team, including live testing, and monitoring following the release
* Liaise with Operational teams as requested to ensure that policies and procedures are being complied with in an efficient manner in order to protect our customer's interests.
* Help maintain a high level of motivation within the department.
* Keep abreast of new developments and regulatory issues.

Qualifications and Experience Required
– Basic understanding of the credit risk life cycle
– SAS / SQL experience or in a similar programme
– worked with credit agencies and credit scoring
– A numerate degree
– Experience in working in a financial services company
