Job Description
Title: Financial Reporting Accountant

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + generous bonus + benefits

Location: Central London – 2/3 days WFH per week

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Our client is a multinational Maritime group, based in London. They are currently looking for a technically adept, ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified, Financial Accountant.

The role will be based in Central London and will be one of the key members of the Finance Team.

Job Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the preparation of the Group’s annual financial statements including all statutory disclosures ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards

* Liaise with external auditors as appropriate and help implement auditors’ report on management findings and recommendations

* Support process for month end close and consolidation to ensure that all financial transactions are properly reported

* Suggest updates/improvements for accounting systems to assist with the preparation of accounts and management reports

* Work closely with internal staff and external tax advisers to ensure compliance with all tax filing requirements and appropriate and accurate reporting in the financial statements

* Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports

Requirements:

* ACA / ACMA / ACCA newly qualified

* Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in statutory accounts preparation; shipping company experience strongly preferred

* Autonomous, proactive approach with ability to work accurately under pressure

* Excellent excel skills due to high level of interaction between the accounting system and excel
