Financial Reporting Accountant

Business Unit – COO

Department – Settlement Operations

Reporting Line Manager, Financial Reporting

Location – Glasgow

Role Overview

The Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for the accurate production of the Report and Accounts for the funds administered

by the organisation ensuring client servicing is at the forefront of all activities. The Financial Reporting

Accountant will also support and contribute to the development of their colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

· Preparing accurate interim & annual reports within agreed timescales and ensuring timely delivery of the reports to compliance,

trustee/depositary, FCA & clients

· Preparing accurate working papers within agreed timescales

· Preparing and sending audit packs to trustee/depository and resolving any queries/issues within agreed timescales

· Ensuring that comprehensive records are kept and that these are accurate and up to date at all times

· Adhering to all internal systems, procedures and controls

· Applying effectively any regulatory changes as required, as specified by external bodies (e.g. FCA, HMRC, IA etc.)

Key Skills and Experience

· Be qualified or working towards accounting qualification

· Be a confident team player, able to work collaboratively with external parties such as Auditors.

· Have excellent attention to detail

· Provide support and coaching to colleagues

· Possess excellent communication skills to liaise with other teams and departments on a daily basis.
