Job Description
Financial Controller | Manchester city centre | £50,000 – £60,000 | PE backed     

Axon Moore are working with a PE backed financial services SME in their search for a hands on Financial Controller to join their team. The business have been established for 20 years and have ambitious plans to invest and scale up in the next 5 years.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for running the day to day function of the accounts team, overseeing a team of 3 direct reports.

Duties include:

Preparation of the monthly Management Accounts & Board Pack including variance analysis and KPI trends
Analytical review of P&L and Balance Sheet
Preparation of group annual statutory accounts and consolidation
Management of annual audits including statutory audits and SRA audit (Legal)
Preparation of draft corporation tax computations for all group entities
Support preparation of budgets and forecasts
Keep up to date balance sheet reconciliations & report on risks and opportunities
Management of the treasury function including daily cash flow forecasts
Management of key external relationships such as bank and auditors
Oversee purchase ledger function
Become a go to person for any senior staff for financial information and support to improve the business partnering reputation of the team
Ideal candidate:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with good technical knowledge and management experience
Excellent excel skills
Good communication skills, written and verbal, to target person whether junior or senior, finance or non-finance
