Job Description
The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with a service business like no other! The organisation is an owner managed firm that has grown from strength to strength over the past few years. Their growth plans see them triple in size (turnover), over the next 3 years. They foresee the growth through expansion into new territories internationally.

The financial controller role that we are recruiting with them will be 2nd in command to the finance director. You job profile has a finance manager reporting into it who in turn has several direct reports.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide the business with robust accounting and reporting services. At the same time the post holder will be expected to contribute to the enhancement of financial controls as well as supporting the business with strategic information that will aid the management team’s decision making.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Directing and controlling finance staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated, trained, and able to succeed and develop in their roles.
Responsible for group reporting, management reporting, tax and treasury function of the businesses finances.
Accountable for internal reporting, group consolidated management accounts and review of information produced to ensure that it is relevant for key decision support.
Work with key external stakeholders such as investors, banks, lenders in drafting board packs and reporting on key financial milestones.
Ensure that cashflow forecasts are accurately maintained and act as the day-to-day `go to` for external stakeholders (namely bank`s).
Review of accounting processes and identify key areas of improvement.
Manage the rudimentary aspects of the accounting function such as budgeting, forecasting & Planning.
Multi-currency treasury management and ensure that tax liabilities are accounted for locally and at group level.

The Requirements
We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CA), accountant with at least 5 years post qualified experience. We are seeking an individual who has worked within an owner managed business historically and somebody who has worked in a rapidly changing environment. We are seeking a proactive and engaging financial controller who can deputise for the finance director at a senior level, but also manage the staff members below. Prior staff management is required as is the ability to influence change in implementing new ways of working.
