Job Description
Our Client, a niche Insurancecompany is seeking to bring on board a Financial Accountant to assist in the preparation of financial statements of the Group, from the processing of the day to day transactions to the annual production of the GAAP compliant financial statements at Group and Branch level ensuring appropriate accounting policies and disclosures compliant with relevant regulatory and governance requirements that meet the Board and regulatory deadlines.

What you'll be doing:

* Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory returns for various International entities within the agreed regulatory and audit timeframes

* Point of contact to external auditors and assist with the provision of required information and supporting schedules

* Drive the implementation of IFRS 17

* Assisting with the preparation of an annual financial forecast at Consolidated at Entity and Branch level

* Preparation of management reports

* Assist with the preparation of Corporation tax returns for the Group within statutory deadlines

* Manage the treasury function ensuring that bank accounts are reconciled in a timely manner each month, payment requests are properly authorised, and daily cashflow information is accurate

Requirements:

* ACA/ACCA Qualified – Ideally through Practice

* 1-2+ years PQE

* 1-2+ years Industry experience

* Insurance industry experience would be advantageous

* IFRS 17 experience would be advantageous

* Experience working with foreign entities (Asia, EU, US)
