Job Description
12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Our client, an award winning manufacturing organisation based in Fife is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities will include:

Provide financial control and compliance across financial processes owned by the Financial Accounting Team (including Internal Reporting, UK Statutory Reporting, Tax and Pension Reporting, Bank and Internal Controls)

Support for governance of SOX Internal Controls, ensuring full compliance with internal controls to mitigate the risk of financial misstatement. Support internal controls testing and follow up on remediation plans for any reported internal control deficiencies.

Accounting and reporting in compliance with Financial Standards and UK & US GAAP for VAT (multiple entities) and Corporation Tax.

Accounting support for Pensions.

Preparation of financial information to support Internal and External Audits

Balance Sheet reconciliation review

Candidates should have the following background and experience:

Qualified, finalist or QBE will be considered
Experienced financial accounting experience, specifically focused around compliance, internal controls, statutory reporting and tax
Experience of working within a large, multinational corporate organisation, with exposure to SOX
Strong IT skills, this should include MS Excel to advance level and ERP systems ideally SAP
