Job Description
Position title: Financial Accountant
Location: London (EC3M), no remote or hybrid
Type of employment: Full time
Description:
We are an accounting firm located in the City of London , offering personalized and professional services for small and medium sized business in a wide range of industries.
Due to the expansion of our practice and client base, we are looking for a qualified accountant to join our team. In that function, you will interact with our clients and provide services related to annual accounts, management reporting, VAT, audits, bookkeeping and payroll, among others. You will report to the Managing Director and support on maintaining excellent client service and in developing the team.
Responsibilities, Tasks & Interactions:
* Experience in independently completing small/moderate accounts preparation assignments, including tax computations.
* Preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate.
* Reviewing team members' work before delivering to manager.
* Coaching junior team members and providing feedback on the quality of their work and performance.
* Provide advice to clients, independently or together with the team, on annual accounts preparation, personal tax, tax planning and VAT return preparation, among others.
* Meeting and interacting with both existing and prospective clients.
Requirements – Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Fully qualified ACA/ACCA accountant, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in an accountant practice preparing sets of accounts.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with the team, clients and other partners.
* Hands-on, proactive individual, able to plan and meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to learn fast and to apply the knowledge to tasks, as well as to train and share knowledge with the team.
* Experience with Sage Accounting.
* Good knowledge and experience in MS Excel and Office 365.
* Full working rights in the UK (no sponsorship available for that position).
