Job Description
Title: Financial Accountant

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays + some hybrid working being trialled + company pension scheme + DIS plus healthcare scheme

Location: Bridlington

OVERVIEW:

Would you like to work beside the seaside? This is an exceptional opportunity with a global manufacturing company to join their established and talented finance team. The Financial Accountant will perform a wide variety of duties and report into the Financial Controller. A hybrid working option is being trialled and likely to be implemented in time for the new appointment starting.

THE ROLE:

Reporting into the Financial Controller the role will include:

Compilation of month-end management accounts, detailing of gross margins, investigating variances to expectations and providing relevant commentary for Board report
Review of P&L account transactions and creation of prepayments and accruals schedules and posting into the general ledger, production of stock schedules, including interrogation of anomalous transactions and balances to ensure accuracy and process adherence
Review and cover for junior accountant's month-end schedules, compilation of the management accounts with relevant commentary for presentation to the Board, compilation of bi-annual budgets with relevant commentary for the Board
Processing of foreign currency hedges and monitoring foreign currency cashflows
Bi-annual budgeting process including liaising with other departments, proactively suggest system improvements and seek to identify avenues for improvement, support or lead teams for project implementation to improve organisational processes either through enhanced output or more efficient methodology

THE CANDIDATE:

You are likely to be a newly qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA and candidates from professional practice looking to make the first move into industry are welcome to apply

A team player with good communication skills both verbally and written, you are ambitious for the future and looking to join a company where upwards career progression is on offer.

My client is a part of a global manufacturing group and is based in Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast.
